Global Technologies, Inc. Opens Office in Downtown Dayton

Manufacturer, distributor and technology service provider looks to expand business in Ohio markets.

DAYTON, December 11, 2009 — The Downtown Dayton Partnership is pleased to announce that Michigan-based Global Technologies, Inc., has opened a downtown Dayton office at 137 N. Main St. The technology firm also has offices in New York.

"We are extremely proud to join the Dayton community and its business professionals,” said company President Stan Lichenstein. “We believe the timing is right, and we look forward to becoming part of this great American city."

Global Technologies has been in business for 40 years, and provides not only original equipment manufacturing, but also datacom products and services. The company designs and manufactures custom wiring assemblies, fiber and copper products for Fortune 100 clients as well as small businesses in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, aerospace, education, healthcare and biopharma. The service side of the business provides data solutions and service for end users of all types, from large companies to universities and municipalities.

The firm opened its Dayton office with the intention of attracting more business in the Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus markets. Four employees have been hired to focus on the Dayton area first, and Lichenstein reports the long term goals include employing up to 20 people and adding manufacturing facilities. “Expanding in Dayton gives Global access to one of the country’s most proven economic engines,” he says.

A Dayton native, Lichenstein also sees the new office as a way to give back to the community and generate more jobs for the area. He looks forward to opportunities for Global Technologies to work with city officials, area universities and other entities to help with downtown Dayton’s revitalization efforts.
